Things to consider to choose the best automotive paint gun for beginners
There are a lot of brands out there. But you need to consider some really important things to pick the best one.
  • 01
-Choose A High Transfer Efficiency HVLP Gun: Paint guns used in the automotive industry are high volume low pressure guns or HVLP. In combination with high transfer efficiency or TE, you can guarantee accuracy without wasting color.
  • 02
-Choose The Right Nozzle Size: The size of the orifices depends to a large extent on the type of paint you want to use. If you use heavy paint, you will need a mouthpiece with a larger hole. Since you may be using multiple color types, it is a good idea to buy a paint gun included in the set.
  • 03
-Consider The Gravity Feed or Suction: There are two types of sources: gravity and suction. Gravity feed is strongly recommended as it requires less air pressure but delivers the same amount of paint as the siphon paint gun. Gravity paint spray guns are also available.   Transparent or semi-transparent paint pots so you can see how much color you have left. Siphon guns, however, are cheaper and can be placed anywhere. As a rule, siphon types also have a larger paint can.

-Consider The Quality Of Air Compressors: The compressor you have chosen must be able to produce a volume at constant pressure with the gun. It must be at least 1.5 times the air pressure required for the gun at a given pressure.
  • 05
-Consider Portability: If you look at the spray guns on the market, you should consider whether they are portable. Think of all projects for which you want to use the spray gun. It would be an advantage if the spray gun you purchased would be equipped for you or delivered with a backpack so you can take it with you wherever you go.
  • 06
-Consider Flexibility: You need to set your spray gun when painting. For this reason, it is better to look for a paint spray gun that offers different configurations for speed, paint thickness, and spray patterns. It would also be nice if the pot of the paint gun you purchased could hold several colors and coatings.
  • 07
-Consider The Energy: You should note down the source of energy that the paint gun you have purchased, since it comes with different energy sources. Depending on your preferences, there are those that you can control by hand.
  • 08
-Consider A Simple Cleaning: Read the description of each product and note the cleaning procedures for each spray gun, as this can be a tedious task, especially if the spray gun does not come off easily.
